When You Have Genital Herpes Is It Ok To Use The Same Washcloth For Your Face As You Do For Your Body?
I know it’s a strange question. But if I wash the herpes infected areas at night and let my washcloth dry out, is it OK to wash my face in the morning with the same cloth? Or is there still a risk of getting the virus in my eyes or even coldsores?

As long as there is soap in the washcloth, you shouldn’t have to worry about it.

It will be OK to use, but you really should use a fresh cloth on your face. The herpes virus doesn’t survive on objects for long periods of time and you won’t end up spreading genital herpes to your face.

Herpes is only spread by skin on skin contact, but it’s your preference on whether you use the same or a different washcloth.

it is best to use a fresh washcloth everyday and for your different body
parts since you have herpes.

No! Ewww!
I have been taught as a Nursing Assistant that genitals are the dirtiest part of the body and get cleaned last.
