   I think genital warts are leisons that cause no pain or discomfort and sometimes you cant even see them if you do have them, on the other hand i think genital herpes are more like sores or blisters kind of like coldsores.

   Herpes (HSV) is the one that causes lesions or blisters and painful tingling, itching or burring sensations, not genital warts. Genital warts (HPV)
   They are both viruses but genital warts is linked to causing cervical cancer in women. Herpes is a virus as well, its one that you have for life but you can rarely die of herpes.
   They can look similar since both herpes and genital warts can cause bumps on the genitals. but they have different symptoms. It can be easy to confuse the two but they are different and not related to each other.
