I know it’s some strain of the HP virus that causes plantar warts, but what is it that people do to come in contact with this virus? contaminated toilet seats? dirty counters?

If a virus isn’t airborne then its all about contact. Any physical contact which will enable it to transfer from where its to another place. Remember they find it easy to enter the body when you have sores en thats why Std’s are transmitted during sex, bcos their might be bruising en beside that the tissues are tender.
body to body contact when you have cuts (some can even be transferred thru that sweet like ebora).
Remember most pple have rushes on their buts so when you sit on a toilet you carry a lot of jam
