tell him that you wish to be tested for HPV and herpes. hpv is the warts you are talking of. it is a blood test for both when i had it done. i would tell him that you had unprotected sex and you are very concerned that you may have this. you need rassurance that you do not. doctors are suppose to test individuals that ask to be tested. i give you a lot of credit for wanting to know and not just pushing it under a rug. if you had it and did not know, then you would spread this to others. if you do have it, you can protect yourself from outbreaks, etc and you will be protecting anyone you may be with in the future.

The test for HPV is NOT a blood test. It is a test done just like or with your PAP smear….it scrapes cells off the cervix and is sent off with your PAP to be tested specifically for the HPV virus. If it comes back positive, then you get treated. None of the testing or treatment is painful. IF what you have is on the outside of your genitals and 2 MDs have told you the same diagnosis, why is it that you do not believe them?
