Is it possible to catch an STD if we are both virgins?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year now and we think we are both ready to have sex. We both take the subject of sex seriously and that’s why we have waited for a while. (we are both teens)

Him and I are still virgins. We plan on using protection but I’m curious about one thing because I have heard different answers from different people.
Is it possible to catch HIV or any other STD if we are both virgins?

NO, std does not spontaneously generate just because you have sex.
If you are not old enough to figure this out, you are not old enough to have sex… better wait.

yes it is… your boyfriend could have been born with HIV from his mother and still be a virgin. You can also get an STD just from giving or getting oral sex from someone who has it.

Unless your boyfriend was born with one, you cannot have an STD without having sex before, so you cannot get STDs from each other. The only way you’d get one is if one of you was lying about being a virgin.
