Is it possible for my lesbian girlfriend give me an STD?
I am 20 years old, and my girlfriend and me have been sexually active for 3 years. I have only been with her sexually, but these past few days I have been feeling very itchy on the inside of my vagina. I never thought a female could give another female an std, but I am really starting to wonder. She has cheated on me twice, so there is a possibility that she could have contracted an std from somewhere else. Can two women give each other STDs?

They certainly can . At your age , you should know this .

Yes, certainly possible. Herpes is easily transmittable via fingers etc. But if it is itching you have, that is probably a yeast infection and nothing to do with an STD. However, if she has cheated twice, she will cheat again. Pattern is established. If I were you, I’d look for someone that loves you enough to be true to you.

STD is transferred from person to person through sexual contact that is through the exchange of body fluids, never mind it is homosexual or hetero sexual. Avoid the intercourse till you completely get rid of it and make sure your partner do not have any STI’s before the participation. Better take preventive measures.

Every STD is transmittable through oral sex. Even HIV

If your girl friend has an std she could defiantly give it to you when you have sex. Any kind of sex can transmit an std if your partner happens to have one. Skin contact is being made and body fluids are being passed which is how stds like to be passed on. She could have contracted the std from some one else or a past partner. I think you should see a doctor and get checked out and you don’t have to stay with some one that cheats on you.

I have an idea, instead of going on this public forum, you could call this toll free 800 number and get exact advise from a trained counselor for free and in private: 888-585-8798
They answered all of my questions, found a confidential lab near my home, and were able to
fax a prescription to a pharmacy across the street from my home. Everything was confidential, private, discreet, and I never had to pay a doctor visit.
Hope that helps in some way,
Wendy

You can catch an STD through physical contact if the sores of the disease come in contact with you. If you have syphilis, it is easily curable if caught in the early stages. Check out the link below for the different symptoms syphilis can produce, and how to get in contact with a place where you can get tested to find out for sure what you may have.
