I have severe HPV on my cervix, could i have gotten it from constantly poking at my boyfriends plantar wart?

I was recently diagnosed with severe HPV and i am having the LEEP procedure done in a few weeks. I was wondering if i could have contracted this from poking at my boyfriends plantar wart? My nurse said this was possible, but on most websites it says this in not possible?

Thanks!

hpv is a type of wart but it is a sexually transmitted disease not a plantar wart. they don’t spread the same and a plantar wart would have spread to your finger not your cervix.

the answer is no to this.

this is an unrelated virus, is a carrier.

    1) Why were you poking his wart
    2) Nurse vs Internet, hmm who would I trust.

HPV is carried on the penis and ends up causing cancer in the cervix after intercourse. While HPV can cause warts, warts do not cause HPV, or cervical cancer.

As far as i know it is not possible, and i am a nurse as well. Men are normally the carriers of HPV. But it is transmitted sexually. Good luck and God bless.

Your nurse may be right or wrong. But honestly, I think this is unlikely. HPV is an std and you contract it from having sex. Plantar warts form on the sole of the foot, and are contagious, because they are viral infection.
