their a test in men and women that tells them when they received the virus after they start getting genital warts?

90% of HPV infections are eliminated by the body’s immune system within two years. And many of these infections don’t cause any symptoms.
But this kind of thing depends on the HPV strain you get infected with. Some HPV strains cause warts within weeks or months of infection. And some HPV strains cause penile or cervical cancer years after infection.
And there is no screening test for HPV, because there is no treatment for HPV infection, and because most infections go away on their own without any treatment. Only people who get symptoms of HPV infection get tested for HPV. Because there is treatment for warts, and there is treatment for cancer.
And there is no test that can pinpoint the date of your infection.

their is no test for men right now
mine took a couple month’s.
some strands of the virus DO NOT cause wart’s. women might just test positive on pap smear’s.

Visible genital warts can show as early as a few weeks after exposure to the virus or year after initial exposure.
Many people carry an HPV type with no signs or symptoms of the virus. Both high and low risk genital HPV types can cause visible warts. Most often visible genital warts are of low risk HPV types but some people with visible genital wart carry a co-infection of other HPV types.
There is no FDA approved HPV test for visible genital warts. There is no FDA approved HPV test for the entire genitalia. The only FDA approved HPV test is for the cervix. This test is most commonly done after the Pap test has found abnormal cell changes.
There is no test to tell us when we acquired and HPV infection.
Most people build immunity to their acquired HPV type or types in a year or two. Building immunity to your acquired HPV doesn’t mean that you will never share your HPV type or types with a new sex partner, Once the immune system builds immunity to your acquired HPV type you can’t get that HPV type again however the virus may re-occur years after the initial HPV types was acquired. We can acquire new HPV types. Building immunity to one HPV type doesn’t mean that you are immune to all genital HPV types. They are 40 genital HPV types.
Genital HPV infection is usually sexually transmitted. The incubation period (i.e., the interval between initial exposure and established infection or disease) is variable, and determining the timing and source of infection is frequently difficult. Within ongoing sexual relationships, sex partners usually are infected by the time of the patient’s diagnosis, although they might have no symptoms or signs of infection.

it can take a few months before 1 wart can come around, and 2 years for them all to form, it really goes from person to person. As far as I know there is no HPV test for men unless they have the warts, and I dont believe any at all that will tell you how long you have had it.
