How long can you carry the HPV Virus?

I just recently had a pap that came back abnormal. And have been diagnosed with the HPV virus. The reason for my question is that I have been in a monogomos relationship for nearly two years and my other paps have always come back fine. I want to know if I should be worried if my boyfriend has been as true as I have been.

    Forever. HPV is in everyone.

If you have ever had a wart you have had HPV. there is 40 different kinds of HPV

This is not really bad. you just need to watch out for cervical cancer.

You carry it forever there is no cure. There is a chance that they just didn’t catch it before but if not then it would have had to come from him.

you can carry the virus and not have any symptoms at all, you need to tell your man anyway so he can get tested as well.

Since the virus doesn’t show up on guys, he literally could have had it since the first time he had sex, carried it since then, and passed it on to you because his immune system weakened and the virus became strong enough to infect your skin.

Sorry but it looks like your boyfriend has been messing around. and has not be very safe about it either. If I were you I would get tested right away for other STD’s.
