Can You Give Genital Warts To Your Partner If You Have An Oral Wart?

I have a little bump that’s been on the roof of my mouth for over a year, I thought it was just a sore that would go away but I am paranoid and have a horrible feeling it is HPV. I never had sex before or given oral sex but I’m afraid to give oral sex because I do not want to give my partner genital warts. I brush regularly so I don’t know what it is, help?

  1. Dr Noopur, MD Says:

    Hello,
If the sore that you are having is a cold sore causing by HPV then it is very contagious and can be transmitted to your partner by any oral sex or skin to skin contact with the active lesion. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Some people have moles, some have warts.
go to the public health clinic and get them t check you out, it’s free or low cost, and you won’t have to worry about doing the dirty deed. Unless the guy has something.
