Can You Get Genital Herpes Without Sexual Contact With Someone Who Has It?
Okay so I literally just found out like two minutes ago that my older sister has genital herpes. I know that herpes is incurable and I know that it is very contagious, so I’m kind of worried.
Can I get herpes from her? Maybe it’s a stupid question but… we share a bathroom and I really don’t want to end up getting an STD from sitting on the toilet…

There is no medical proof that you can get herpes from things like toilet seats or chairs and such. Herpes is a virus which is very fragile and can’t live out side of the body for too long. The way people get herpes is by coming in direct contact with the sore, which is why its an STD, sexually transmitted disease but if your that paranoid clean the toilet seat every time before you use it
