I am going to get a smear test done but I don’t know what it checks for? I want to get like an overall check for everything all STI’s and STD’s but i don’t know what tests they do, like blood tests etc? Any info greatly appreciated.

For instance can you get genitals warts by sitting on a toliet seat anything concerning things like that
I was recently diagnost with Anal warts. I don’t see any symptoms of the virus but I know its there. What preventative measures, besides not having sex, can I take so he doesn’t get infected?
Where both partners are virgins (100% sure) and only have ‘fooled around’.
Neither had presence of genital herpes symptoms until farther into the relationship.
Both have had cold sores (HSV-1).
Can you get genital herpes from masturbation. i.e. the transfer of HSV-1 into genital area creating HSV-2?
i have only had one sexual partner. and i have just found out that i have either genital warts or herpes. now he does not have any symptoms and before i ask questions like did you cheat i was just wondering if their was a non sexual way of contracting these infections/diseases. i was also wondering if anyone had any info on how to deal with these problems once you have them. like how one continues with sexual activities both oral and intercourse. And if anyone knows if the diseases ever go away in that is it safe to have sex without protection if the warts arent present etc.

I am 25 and have genital herpes. I live with others in my household and am worried that they may contract the disease by using the same toilet facility. Is there any other way to get it other than sexual contact? How long does the virus live on surfaces like a toilet seat or things other than genitalia? Should I be worried about my family and housemates getting it from me, even though we do not have sexual contact? If possible please state your source and if you are from a medical background. Please be serious, I really need help and answers. Thanks!
