Let’s say you’ve been married for ten years. You have an abnormal pap smear, which is attributed to HPV (no warts involved). Could the infection have possibly been contracted more than ten + years ago?
I was told that i have the HPV right before i was going to get the vaccine. The Dr never gave the shot to me.So now i dont know if getting the shot is useless or what. I told my school nurse i already have the virus when she tried to give me the vaccine and she looked at me all confused and said i dont get it. . . . What do i do? Keeping getting the shot or not?
I know strands of HPV cause warts (benign tumors). My question is, why? Everything a virus does is normally to benefit the virus in some way: help it to reproduce, make it live longer, etc. If something doesn’t aid its survival, why bother? How does the creation of a wart or tumor aid a virus?
I am trying to buy a life insurance policy but am hesitated to release my Gyno’s information to the insurance co. I dont want them to know that I have HPV, would I get into trouble legally by withhelding information? Please help.
So, I went to the dr. and got a physical (pap smear and all) and was diagnosed with genital warts. She prescribed some cream. But didn’t really give me any detail about my problem. I’ve looked up info on the net but am still confused, what i am getting is: My body can fight off HPV-if i am lucky, so I will no longer have the virus- right? How does the virus affect me other than having the warts?
I am not sexually active. But someone I work with is and they have HPV. Can I catch that virus even though I dont eat or drink after the person who has it. I was wash my hands religously and I never touch the toilet seats. Is the only way you can get HPV is through sexual contact?
