What else do brownish vaginal discharge (old blood) indicate besides STD’s and Pregnancy?

I do not have an STD nor am I pregnant anymore, however, the week before last, I was pregnant and lost my baby and my left fallopian tube due to an ectopic pregnancy. I started having the brown discharge 2-3 weeks before the ectopic pregnancy surgery. I am still having the discharge. What could it be?
It is irrelevant to say “ask the doctor” because I have and will. The doctors do not seem too concerned about it. I have an appointment tomorrow and will ask again and I have an appointment Friday and will ask again.

So this morning I was masturbating with an electric toothbrush and I put the bottom of it into my vagina, having forgotten to wash it before I inserted it. I took it out really quick because I rememberd that it wasn’t clean. I took a shower right after and washed down there. My question is: can you get a vaginal infection or an STD from doing this? I’m a bit nervous I’ll get an infection of some sort.

If so, How could I prevent this. It’s my mom’s bathroom and I’m even not positive she has an STD or anything. I don’t want to ask her and I also don’t want to offend her by acting suspicious.

I have never heard of anyone getting an std from dry humping or fingering but I’m curious to know if you can. Is getting tested overly cautious if you did this but no actual genital contact occurred.
