I have a new bf who tells me he hasn’t been with a girl in over a year. I had sex with him and after had sex with my ex bf. Both of these guys have tested neg for std’s but I tested pos. I would not believe them but I had access to their test results. we all got tested at the same hospital.

I went to the gynocologists for the first time two weeks ago. She took a sample to do tests on and told me I could get the results in two weeks online. I went to the website and it says that I am negative for chlamydia and ghonerhea. Did she only do tests for two stds? And if so, where can I go to get all of them (like HIV, syphilis, herpes etc) done?

Can regular STD testing: blood/urine tell you if you have the disease in your mouth? Is the disease in your blood stream? Would they be able to find out if you have it in your mouth or in your vagina/penis? I’m asking this because I was wondering if they can catch the disease before it shows obvious signs in your mouth.

If you had sex with someone and you think you make have gotten an STD, how long would it take before it would show up on a blood test?

I imagine most would be relatively quick, like days or even a week, but are there STDs that don’t show up on blood tests until months after contracting them?
Can all necessary tests be done at the same time in one office or do you have to go to different specialists?

I was just wondering if my symptoms are from an std, then would that std then show on testing? I tested at 3 weeks with symptoms starting at 2 weeks. All tests came back negative. Researching my symptoms could also be prostatitis or just trama due to rough sex, but always worried.

I don’t understand this. The government should offer STD tests for free yet a single screening will cost close to $100.00 for family’s of low income this is not fair. Everyone’s at risk, no matter your income, wouldn’t this be something to lobby for change. Is there free tests or do they always cost money? Is there no way to do a self test? I’m not saying this just for me, I’m talking about entire countries. I understand some countries aren’t quite developed enough to have a government which can support such a luxary however for those that are, these tests should be given out like candy.
