How is it possible for you (a woman) to be tested positive for a STD and your partner is tested negative?

Say you’ve been dating for several months and recently became official bf/gf… I want us to get tested regardless of how far we’re planning on going in the immediate future… just to know we’re both safe whatever we do.
But how long after you become official is it appropriate to have this discussion?
As soon as my boyfriend went to the doctor and found out he had a genital wart I went to the doctor to get tested. My test results came back normal?! This is the first time he has had a breakout since we have been together for almost 2 years. How could I NOT have hpv? I am just very surprised by the results.
I am 14 years old, and I’m really scared that I might have an STD. I want to get tested, but I don’t know how to do it without my mother knowing. Any advice?
And if it makes any difference, I did not have unprotected vaginal sex; it was unprotected oral sex. If, like I said, that makes any difference as to how bad things could be.
If someone goes to the doctor w/ documentation stating their partner tested positive for an std, will they automatically receive treatment or will they be tested?
I know a few guys who do get tested to be sure, but the majority I know do not.
I do know men who DO NOT want a physical cuz of the whole booty thing lol.
I think a lot of guys think it’s harder for them to catch too…compared to women which is true but of course it doesn’t make them invincible I’d like to hear more men’s opinions
At health centers I usually see all women and maybe 1-2 men
I get my annual HIV testing done near by birthday every year ( so I don’t forget) along with std testing. I know it’s recommended that a person gets an annual Hiv test. But what about STDs should that be left to annually testing or should it be done more often. Since STDS are easier to contract.
quite a few friends of mine sleep with the same person and found out she had genital herpes. Now they are all going to get tested. Will they be able to find out if they have it through a blood test?
I want to get tested for EVERYTHING, but I don’t want to pay. I don’t want to have to give in any information or anything like healthcare card or id, I just want to fill out a form (not providing too much information, get tested and get my results. I don’t want any catches or scams, just a free std and hiv testing center and/or phone number?
I’m back in the dating circuit having lost my wife of many years. I met a lady but want her to get checked for std’s before we become intimate and want to know 2 things. How long will it take to learn results of tests and if she is free of all std’s now, could she have some that are undetectible now that may show up later? How often should a person get tested for std’s. Thanks for any info.
