Genital Warts Symptoms ? Do I Have Genital Warts?

Monday, November 1st, 2010

Many times people mistake common pimples, small cuts, ingrown hairs that have become infected, small cysts, or even swollen glands for genital warts. But genital warts symptoms are very specific and different from any other kind of growth in the genital area.

Men often find the warts on the shaft of the penis. They may appear anywhere on the penis, including the head, on top of the penis, and underneath the penis.

Women’s genital warts can appear around the vulva area, but also up into the vagina, where they cannot be seen. Both men and women can find warts in the anus area. Sometimes the warts break out inside the anus.

Genital warts symptoms will always include outbreaks of these kinds of warts. These warts will probably not hurt the infected person, but they may be itchy and uncomfortable, especially when they are on the outside and they rub against the clothing the infected person is wearing.

The thing that distinguishes genital warts from other kinds of warts, such as the ones you get on your hands and your toes, are the way the warts break out and how they grow. They show up on the skin in cluster formations.

Genital warts symptoms will involve these clusters continue to grow in size. They will not be symmetrical but will just seem to multiply. The shape of the clusters might resemble a cauliflower or a head of broccoli. Lesions may be flat or raised and they may span from a millimeter for a single wart to several centimeters if the warts cluster.

Genital herpes and genital warts symptoms and outbreaks can be minimized using several products, especially genital wart creams which will act only over the affected area.  Green Tea Catechins have been found to be the most effective cream against genital warts.

Other genital warts symptoms for women may include vaginal discharge or bleeding after intercourse, if there are warts in the vaginal canal that have been irritated during sexual intercourse. Rarely, warts may block the urethra and lead to urinary complications.

An outbreak of genital warts often means that the warts show up in several areas on the body at once. Multiple warts in different areas on the body are a telling symptom of genital warts. If you have an outbreak that resembles these symptoms, you should see your doctor and seek medical treatment as soon as possible.

Detecting Std Symptoms: For Women

Saturday, October 30th, 2010

In this day and age, sexual awareness usually begins with the young females. Since the female body tends to mature far earlier than the males, the reproductive system of young women are capable of bearing children when she has already experienced her first menstruation. This is also why at such a young age women may already be experienced sexually. Being so, this puts women at even more risk of acquiring numerous Sexually Transmitted Diseases or STDs.

Another thing to consider is that the female reproductive organs are not external as compared to the men. That is why most symptoms of STDs in women may be hard to detect or may sometimes not appear at all. Some women may even be asymptomatic—meaning they do not show any symptoms of the disease—but be very potent carriers of the microorganism that causes the STD.

Another difficulty when it comes to detecting STD symptoms in women is that most of the symptoms can be mistaken for other more common diseases. Some yeast infections may very well be the beginning signs of Chlamydia. That pimple or bump that you see on your genitals may only look like a badly placed pimple but in actuality is already a sign of Syphilis. You cannot know for sure what these simple symptoms may be and the only way to confirm this easily is by undergoing an STD examination at your local STD clinic.

Once a woman is deemed sexually active, it is clearly advisable that she should get regular and routine check-ups at the nearest STD clinic. It is best to get these exams a few days before or after sexual contact and intercourse. Before, so that you are sure that you are clean and will not pass on the disease to your partner and after since symptoms in women—if they do happen to appear—will not show itself until after a couple of days or weeks since the initial exposure. Symptoms that do manifest are merely signs that your body is trying to protect itself from foreign organisms that are trying to overtake the body.

As a counter measure to this, be sure to seek consult regularly especially if you are at a high risk or had sex with someone that is high risk. One of the most common symptoms of any STD is pain during urination, pain while engaging in sexual intercourse, bleeding between periods and sore throat. Mostly, these symptoms can be very well mistaken as a part of another illness and that is why they are dangerous; you never know that they might be very dangerous STDs just lying in the wait.

Another that you should take note of is that for women, STD symptoms rarely appear. It means that you might be infected but will not show any symptoms so you will never know that you have them in the first place! Truly the best solution for this is to get tested every now and then at the nearest STD testing centers in your vicinity.

A Sure Way To Detect Std Symptoms In Male

Saturday, October 30th, 2010

There is an old joke about a man who felt he had symptoms of STD. Too bashful to have himself tested, he waited until he couldn’t stand the itching in his organs any more. He finally went to a doctor. The doctor gave him a check up and said, “The infection is too bad, you will need a lot of medication.” Unsatisfied, he went to see another doctor. The second doctor looked him over and said, “The infection has gotten worse, you’ll need an operation.” Still unbelieving, he decided to try untraditional medical advice. He went to downtown and saw a Chinese doctor. Just one look at his organs, the Chinese doctor shakes his head. “No need for medicine. No need for operation!” the Chinaman declares. The man was so relieved and excited. “Really?” he says. “Yes!” said the Chinese doctor,”Infection so bad, pecker will just fall off!”

In really life having STD symptoms is not a joke. Of course, the male organ will not just fall off if he has STD. But leaving STD untreated can lead to far worse medical conditions. With STDs or Sexually Transmitted Diseases, some forms may or may not show any symptoms. The irony of it is that some symptoms are often mistaken for other less disastrous diseases. So the only sure way to find out if what you are having are signs of STDs is to have yourself checked in a reputable STD testing center.

Some STD symptoms in males differ from that of women. If you take a review of the male biological structure, the male reproductive organs are more exposed than that of women. Some symptoms would manifest themselves more visually on males than in females. It is good to know if the physical symptoms you are experiencing are indicative of STDs. Below are examples of the most common symptoms and STDs that occur in males. This however does not serve as a means to self diagnose or be a reason not to seek professional help. It is still best to visit the nearest STD testing clinic.

Herpes

Herpes is caused by the Herpes Simplex Virus 2. The STD Symptoms in Male is the appearance of painful tiny sores and blisters on the penis. These appear on the first outbreak usually within the first 2 weeks of exposure. The sores will appear to heal during the 2 to 4th week. The second stage of Herpes is the appearance of a 2nd batch of sores along with other flu like symptoms such as fever and swollen glands. These sores are mistaken for insect bites or another form of skin disease. If left untreated, these sores are very recurrent. An infected person will experience at least 4 to 5 outbreaks in a 12 month period. The only accurate way to detect Herpes is to undergo a viral and blood test in an STD clinic.

Gonorrhea and Chlamydia

STD Symptoms in Males of these diseases are quite similar. Symptoms of Gonorrhea appear 2 to 30 days after the man is infected. With Chlamydia, the man may or may not have symptoms but if he does it usually appears between the first to third weeks from the day of exposure. This bacterial infection invades the penis and urinary tract causing discomfort every time the man urinates or have sex. The man will also have a burning, itching sensation around the genitals. Pain and swelling of the testicles is also evident. With men, an abnormal discharge comes out of the penis usually white, yellow or green in color. If the man engages in anal sex, he may also experience discharges and bleeding in the anus.

How long before a man gets HPV symptoms?

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

So I had unprotected sex with this girl three years ago. A couple of weeks after we slept together she contacted me and told me that she had HPV and that she believed that she got it from someone she slept with before she slept with me.

Is it possible that I might have the HPV virus and not have any symptoms after three years? How long does it usually take for guys to display any symptoms?

Can symptoms of an STD first surface 6 years later?

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

Let’s say you’re abstinent for 6 years but all of a sudden you notice something wrong like inflammation, tenderness in the upper V area. Could it be an STD that first shows symptoms 6 years after s*x?

Please don’t bother responding if it’s just to say see a doctor. Thanks.

If neither has symptoms of std’s after unprotected sex is it safe to continue unprotected?

Saturday, August 7th, 2010

Me and my girlfriend have been having sex for a couple of weeks now without a condom, we are completely faithful but for some reason we are concerned now (I know we should of thought about it earlier) about std’s. Is there any danger now of us catching an std’s from unprotected sex or would the damage already be done. Does it mean we are clean or just carriers? Should we get tested? Is there any difference if I didn’t finish inside her?
