My question is would you date someone with genital herpes or would you stop dating them when you found out?

I bit my lip and there’s a cut there now, but i dont have a std or hiv. could me or my sexual partner be at risk of a std or hiv?

I have been seeing this guy, we havent had sex yet but we really want to. he just sat me down and told me he has herpes. I still want to have sex with him. but i dont like to use condoms and i want to go down on him too. can i do those things and not get it or will we have to use a condom forever?
