I want to get the HPV shots but my mom is wants me to wait for some reason. However i’m worried that i’m going to have sex before i get the shots.
Is the vaccine administered to people who are already sexual active?
Is the vaccine less effective when given to already active people?
I know this is probably a really stupid question, but I need to know. If there isn’t any chance I will get genital warts then I want to know.
i got the HPV (gardasil) shot today. i know you have to get 3 total shots, and i heard (and read on the website) that each shot is 3 months apart, but my doctor said i have to come back in 2 months for the next shot, and we made an appointment in 2 months….what happens if you get the HPV shot 2 months apart insted of 3?
The Gardasil website says that it protects you from HPV. I thought that it protected you from cervical cancer CAUSED by HPV.
I’m thinking about getting that new shot that helps prevent HPV in women. Does anyone know the side effects and if it’s worth it to get the shot?

I heard somewhere that if you have received the HPV vaccine, Gardasil it is possible to pass HPV on to your partner through intercourse. I guess because in order to vaccinate you against it, they put some form of the virus into your body? However, it seems absurd that a vaccination against a virus could cause you to pass it on to someone else. So, is there any truth to this statement?

I’ve had all three of the Gardasil vaccine shots, afterwords I had unprotected sex (multiple times) with someone who is a carrier of HPV. If it makes a difference, this specific kind of HPV is a strong cancer-causing type of HPV.
What are the chances I have HPV after having the shot and being frequently exposed to the virus?
