I don’t have HPV (don’t know why I feel the need to defend that to strangers) but I just anwered a question, uninformed, about it. Actually one of my best girlfiends also had a baby about 2 years ago and she found out this year that she has HPV, she doesn’t know if she had it when she was pregnant cuz she changes boyfriends, but her son was adopted, is he at risk for developing HPV, is a baby girl at higher risk? Can it be avoided by giving birth C-section?

Not the kind that causes genital warts but the kind that causes cervical cancer? I was told that many mothers with hpv change their children and put desenex cream etc. for diaper rash and the children are safe. Is this true.

This question is a serious question, so please give truthful answers. I have a friend that has the genital herpes virus and is pregnant, she wishes to breast feed her new born baby once its born, but didnt ask her doctor if it would be okay. Im trying to find information for her, so she can prepare herself and protect her baby once its born.

Can a mother, who is already infected with genital herpes, breast feed her 3 month old baby? Any chance of getting the baby infected through breast milk? She is not having an active outbreak right now.
My second question is in case she develops active infection during her lactation still can she breast feed? What precatuions should she take?
