I have heard that there is no such thing as a non-STD related painful sores (bumps) inside the vaginal lips. Is this true?

My gynecologist told me that from my pap smear it looked like I had possibly been “exposed” to HPV or the Human Papilloma Virus. I completed the third shot of the vaccine one year ago. She said she wants to repeat the test six months from now. What does that mean? Should I be worried?

I was just handed the results and told to make an appointment with my primary care manager on post (my husband is Army). What does Rare Atypical Squamous Cells mean and does it necessarily mean that I have HPV?
