Making you more susceptible to common colds and sore throats even when Genital Herpes outbreaks are not present?

I wanted to know if the common warts virus is ever destroyed by our body or does it stay in our bodies forever? I read that it goes away in 2 years in most people.

I’ve never had a wart or a cold sore. Growwing up, my sister got plantar’s warts often, and we walked around barefoot all the time and used the same bathroom. I’ve kissed plenty of guys in my day, and haven’t ever had a cold sore, either. I get regular “bugs” that go around… colds, flus, mono, strep, etc, but no warts. Is that normal? Am I just lucky?
