is there still a chance even if neither have ever had a history of an std but are not using protection while performing this?

I get my annual HIV testing done near by birthday every year ( so I don’t forget) along with std testing. I know it’s recommended that a person gets an annual Hiv test. But what about STDs should that be left to annually testing or should it be done more often. Since STDS are easier to contract.

This question is not to offend anyone but it’d be interesting to see some of the answers. I’m more afraid of catching an STD more than getting pregnant but it’d be more worst if I got both.
