OK, I have had oral HSV for about 15 years now and i have been with my boyfriend for 3 years. We just found out that i had given him genital herpes 1.

Is it possible for me to get genital herpes from him even though i already have the virus and i was the one to give it to him?

because you know you still love them and you don’t want to spread it to anyone else?
please note there was no cheating involved- it was a dormant std that doctors have no test to even tell you if you have it.

When I came back to the states, my girlfriend picked me up from the airport. We went to get a room and of course we had sex. A few days later she tells me she has HPV. Go figure. Now she makes it out to be no big deal. I am so pissed right now I don’t know what to do.

PS The STD was easy to treat.
