I know that HIV doesn’t usually show up until months later(actually there’s a new test that’s a lot faster). What about the herpes blood test, hep abc tests, clamydia, gonorea, sifillis. If I had the contact a week prior to getting all the tests, except for the HIV test, would it be long enough to determine whtheer or not I contracted any of the diseases?

STD clinics insist on using the painful swab of the urethra in males, but I have heard that doctors can take a urine sample instead, due to better modern technology. I want to know if this is true, and what kind of dr. can do full testing for all or MOST STDs.
I’d like to get checked for any STI or STD. What tests take place? Is it all urine samples or will they take a smear test for example. I’ve just turned 21 if that makes a difference.
