Someone told me they had herpes but only had one ‘flare up’ so to speak and it was oover 4 years ago but they were never prescribed any daily medication?? Is that possible?

I understand that regular pap testing can prevent cervical cancer when already diagnosed with HPV, but is there anything else you can do with diet or suppliments (for example) that can help prevent the cells from turning cancerous?

What are the best ways to diagnose genital herpes?

The other day, the doctor called and told me I tested postive for a high risk strain of HPV, and that I have abnormal cells. My gynecology appointment isn’t for a month, so what am I supposed to do until then?
Note: What I originally went in for was a pap smear and regular check up. I’ve also never been to an actual gynecologist. Never had a reason to.

I scratched my skin on my stomach and was shocked to see the scratch marks turn very red and on one area it almost looks like there are sores there or some kind of rash. Did I spread the herpes to my skin on my stomach? or is it something totally different. is it possible to spread herpes this way or is it only spread to the mouth, genitals and eyes?

last night i went to the emergency room and sadly was informed that i have HSV-2 (genital herpes), he has me on a medication and a cream, but the itch is like still unbearable. is there anything else i can do to stop the constant itch, its driving me mad.

As soon as my boyfriend went to the doctor and found out he had a genital wart I went to the doctor to get tested. My test results came back normal?! This is the first time he has had a breakout since we have been together for almost 2 years. How could I NOT have hpv? I am just very surprised by the results.

I have had the bumps for roughly 18 months or so, and initially my doctor said I had Molluscum (he thought). I basically just monitored the situation and after no changes, I decided to see a dermatologist last week. He took a very quick glance from 5 feet away and said “yep, you have genital warts”. I’ve been with my wife for over 4 years, and she has pap tests every year and has never been told that she has HPV. Being that she doesn’t have HPV and we’ve been sexually active together for years, is it likely that what I have is something other than genital warts??
