If you had known someone for a long time as just friends, and started dating them, but found out (before having sex with them) that they were infected with a mild case of genital herpes with no recurring outbreaks…would you continue dating them and just take precautions? Or would you walk away? Would you feel inclined to share the information with other people you know?

Me and my girlfriend have been having sex for a couple of weeks now without a condom, we are completely faithful but for some reason we are concerned now (I know we should of thought about it earlier) about std’s. Is there any danger now of us catching an std’s from unprotected sex or would the damage already be done. Does it mean we are clean or just carriers? Should we get tested? Is there any difference if I didn’t finish inside her?
