I’ve had an HPV vaccination several months earlier. Recently (like 2 months ago) I got a common wart on my finger. I read it comes from and HPV virus.
Don’t vaccinations actually give you the virus to help you build immunity against it?? So is that where I got it from?

Annual pap was atypical (not quite “abnormal”) and the HPV tested was positive. Last year the pap was normal.
Is there any way of knowing whether or not the virus has been there for longer than a year? Could it have been there several years before it even would cause an atypical pap, or could it have just been obtained within the past year? (new boyfriend in the past year, and before that, was with the same partner for almost 4 years, if that matters)

I have warts on my palm and on a fingertip. I am constantly picking at them and hoping they will go away. Can this cause genital warts? I know they are both caused by the HPV virus and that REALLY freaks me out. I have a virus?!? And ALL warts are caused by HPV…even in children?

If we both have genital herpes, are we safe to give each other oral sex and not get HSV1?

My friend was diagnosed with it about 4 months ago, but has not gone away, just gotten better but not completely and then comes back. The doctor tested her last week or so for other things, but she is waiting on the results, and she was negative for any stds besides herpes. We would like to know if anyone with herpes has experienced it for long periods of time even while taking medications, or if someone has an idea of what else she could have…fungus of any sort??? Thanks for your time!

I was sexually assaulted and infected with genital warts. I have been in a deep depression.
Can my warts cause cancer? Can they cause intertility? Currently, they are only on the outside of my vagina but could they move into my vagina and cervix?
What happens if they move in?
help me

I know about HPV causing genital warts, but I came across a source that said not all cases are caused by HPV. Is that true? or are all cases caused by HPV?

I was just diagnosed with genital herpes, and when my partner attempts sex with me, it severely hurts to the extent that he can’t even enter.
But I am unsure that is the reason for painful sex? can herpes cause painful sex?

I just descover that my 4 year old daughter has a genital wart. I know that it mentions that you can have them if you were pregnant with HPV ( i didnt not have an STD while being pregnant) and it also mentions that it could be possible sexual abuse. I am divorced and my daughter doesnt want to go with her dad when he picks her up could that mean that he might be hurting her? or is there some other possibiltity why she might have it other then sexual abuse? i am scared and furious at the same time. Any advise?
