I get cold sores. my boyfriend does not. I had a cold sore and he kissed me, then performed oral sex. could that have given me herpes?

Simply answer the question above. I really do not want all the facts on herpes. I want to know this answer only. Basically, what are the chances that someone without herpes performing oral sex on a female with herpes will catch the disease? As soon as my boyfriend went to the doctor and found out he had a genital wart I went to the doctor to get tested. My test results came back normal?!
