I just found out my mom has genital herpes. I was premature, so I was born four months early; through a c-section.
Would it have been possible for me to contract genital herpes from my mom if I was born via a c-section?

This question is a serious question, so please give truthful answers. I have a friend that has the genital herpes virus and is pregnant, she wishes to breast feed her new born baby once its born, but didnt ask her doctor if it would be okay. Im trying to find information for her, so she can prepare herself and protect her baby once its born.
